    Honouliwai Taro Patch Farm

    Learn about the ancient taro patches at the Honouliwai Taro Patch Farm on the eastern side of Molokai. Since roughly 700 AD, farmers have used the method of flooding terraces to grow taro. Also on the farm is a water buffalo, used to help plow the farm land. The owners ask that visitors call in advance to schedule a visit.

    A fish breeding facility, Lanikai Farms uses environmentally friendly practices to raise fish. Among many practices, the facility uses channeled rainwater runoff from a 6,500 sq. ft. greenhouse roof. The farm’s products include koi fish, swordtail fish, and water plants.

    Purdy's Natural Macadamia Nut Farm

    Take a tour of Purdy's Natural Macadamia Nut Farm near Kualapu'u and Ho'olehua. On this five-acre farm, visitors learn how these Hawaiian treats are grown and harvested, about their history and even how to properly crack open a nut.     Maui Tropical Plantation
